Staff: Why is Microsoft relaunching Windows Live?
Because many who took a peek first time around took a pass. They found, as Mary Jo Foley at Microsoft Watch says, it “long on vision and short on tangibles.”
Since then, they’ve launched nearly 20 Windows Live services, some of which actually work.
More importantly, they’ve tasked a crew with describing the Windows Live Vision in a way that makes sense to the outside world. Word is, they even plan to name things like normal people.
Will the thing succeed?
If history’s any guide… Not yet.
Microsoft needs to pick at the thing through a few more revisions.
